Frederick is a founding partner in (the original) CyberSystems, involved in multimedia communications. He developed “the visible communicator” series of videos to support training and marketing goals of businesses and government agencies. He is an instrument-rated commercial pilot and FCC-licensed radiotelephone operator, degree in arts & sciences U of MD... honorably-withdrawn member IBEW (Electrical Workers).

The E-Broadcast Center | Executive Director | October 2008 - present

Business development, writing and online video production. Creating online training and marketing (streaming) video + other media. Technical writing. Devised The Visible Communicator; as an innovative product.

Founding partner - CyberSystems (inc. as Cyber, Ltd., 1971)

Developed and marketed radio commercials, soundtracks, narrations, etc., to advertising agencies and broadcasters. Multi-media productions for associations and government + FedEx + Baltimore Orioles, U.S. Coast Guard + CFA Institute.. Involved in corporate affairs. Created advertising and marketing campaigns for CyberSystems. Web site development and programming. Programming of display for plasma-screen video at Washington DC Auto Show. Numerous information videos for associations. Member American Society of Association Executives.

Announcer/Performer/Engineer, RKO General Broadcasting WGMS AM-FM, 1970-1985

On-air host and personality; introduced classical music programs. Simultaneously, passim, monitored and maintained broadcast transmitter and antenna system as staff engineer.

Program Developer and performer, Smithsonian Insitution, 1968-1970

Office of Public Affairs. Specified, equipped and installed recording production studio in the National Museum of History & Technology; trained intern; devised, scripted, hosted, announced & produced “Radio Smithsonian” nationally-distributed radio program.

A long section of his career was in broadcasting as programmer and performer. It is typical to handle a succession of engagements of relatively short duration, just as in the theatre. Experiences include: Program director, WHRN (AM), Herndon/Reston VA; Program director, engineer, performer, WENZ Highland Springs (Richmond) VA., Air Personality, WCAO, Baltimore MD; Madcap Fool, WDON, Wheaton MD...

First effort in public communications used a low-power AM broadcaster in Barcroft, Arlington County VA, 1945-46. The "mike" had 2 military-surplus vacuum tubes, but reached 3 buildings. Thought it possible to get a licence from the county courthouse (not).

Education, 1960-1964

University of Maryland, B.A. Speech & Dramatic Arts, focus on broadcast communications. Activities and Societies: Dean's list (academic). Devised and developed radio program series “Metronome” on college radio. Installed college-radio antenna system at WMUC.

Studies in radio station management, thesis paper including on-site research, public speaking, theatre, filmmaking, television production, writing, Russian, Old Germanic English. Philosophy Minor. Prior studies in physics, thermodynamics, mechanics, calculus.
