The Classical Disk Conservancy

The conservancy is based on an exceptional collection of recorded music by a musician with the taste and dedication to acquire some of the finest classical recordings on disk and to preserve them with the highest standards.

The choices of which recording will actually be included in this remarkable conservancy include in part discs that became collectors items because their memory lives in the minds of so many music-lovers. These less-elegant discs are the spice of the collection nevertheless, and the majority of them are found in "salon 12" as identified on this site. So it was, to give character and identity to Mr. Floyd, and to purchases of vinyl discs that might as well have been made by Charles Ives. Or Leonard Bernstein. You'll have to "roam" through the salons yourself just as you might in a real gallery of unique and high art. Please note that virtually every disc examined here is spotless, new, and free of scratches. There are several boxed sets that must have been played only once. Some were found shrink-wrapped, NOT played at all. (Floyd carefully tracked them at 1-2 grams, and never applied any goo or substance to the surfaces./p>
